Free People Toronto Grand Opening

For the first time ever Free People opened their doors yesterday to the Toronto public. Free People celebrated their first Free People store to ever open in Canada. The grand opening party was a success and boy was it ever packed! I was beginning to have trouble holding onto my plate. There was sushi - lots of it and delicious deserts. The layout of the store was breath-taking, as always. The Free People staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. There were so many clothing pieces I wanted to try on but by the time I got to line for the changing room it was too long of a line-up. But that's ok, I will come by again soon to check out their jewlerry because according to one of the FP staff members it's suppose to be on display sometime this week. I am so happy now that there is a Free People store in Canada, it's about time. Thank you to all the Free People staff for making the event very enjoyable, I had lots of fun seeing the store and meeting all of you.

The location of this new Free People store in Toronto is:
79 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.

2012 Toronto Honda Indy

The Honda Indy event in Toronto, Ontario took place this weekend (July 6-July 8, 2012). The day that we went on was on the Saturday. Not the busiest day compared to Sunday (day of the finals), but it was still packed!

It was a whole new experience for us watching the race since we've never been to an Indy car race before. Luckily, Ferrari provided us with earplugs in our Ferrari Fan Zone swag bags that came in good use and therefore allowed us to catch the action up close. After watching the race, we got to enjoy a car tour of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and more! My favorite of them all was the Ferrari 458 Italia which I chose to snap a shot of it with me in it. The second tour we went on was in the IZOD IndyCar Series paddock, a behind-the-scenes access.

Going to this event was more fun than I had expected. Wherever you went there was always live entertainment and food vendors. In the Honda tent, they were providing free food (popcorn, cotton candy or snow cone) to the general public. Since there were so many sponsors for this event: Doctor Pepper, Snapple, Toronto Amsterdam Brewery, Honda, Hot Wheels and many others, there were always tents that provided you free samples of drinks that would keep you hydrated. Lastly, I just want to thank the volunteers, they were so helpful and knowledgeable!

Most importantly I want to thank Ferrari for letting me take part in this amazing event with my sister.

Congratulations to Ryan Hunter-Reay for winning the 2012 Hondy Indy Toronto!
